Due diligence for potential acquisition for private equity client

BTG Advisory was engaged by a private equity client in connection with the potential acquisition of a target which had some historical liabilities that were difficult to evaluate and quantify.  

Our specialist team undertook due diligence work for the client, enabling them to provide advice on the acquisition and security structure to mitigate the risk of these liabilities crystallising and affecting the ongoing trading business.  

Our work was also shared with the client’s banker who, following discussions with BTG Advisory, provided additional debt funding to support the acquisition.
