Improving financial performance of education group

BTG Advisory team undertook a major assignment for a large regional further education college group which was experiencing financial difficulties.  

The work included a review of the financial plan for the group, obtaining valuations of its sites and liaising with the Department for Education to satisfy their criteria for the provision of additional funding. Involvement in a site-by-site analysis of campus profitability and head office costs ultimately culminated in the closure of one of the non-performing college campus sites. Our team was involved in the closure and disposal of that site and has assisted in a number of other transactions to dispose of non-core assets.

BTG Advisory’s relationship with the further education college group and our team continues to assist with ad hoc projects on profitability and disposal of non-core assets and the provision of general strategic advice.
