Gary is a Partner in the Advisory team based in our Manchester office. He joined the firm in 1995 and is a qualified chartered accounting specialising in restructuring and turnaround.

Gary originally trained with Arthur Andersen and, during that time, was involved in some of the major receivership appointments such as Leyland DAF and Ferranti. His recent assignments have involved advisory work with banks, Private Equity houses and Asset Based Lenders (ABLs) in respect of underperforming clients.

Gary has specialised in working on advisory and restructuring appointments. The assignments have ranged from an Independent Business Review (IBR) to assess the financial viability of the company to taking the formal appointment and trading the business in the short term, whilst negotiations for a sale of the business and assets were concluded.

Gary’s recent experience has included debt negotiations with banks, funders and HMRC when exploring outcomes that maximise returns to all stakeholders.
